Silent Study Spots in Jordan: The Best Quiet Places to Focus in 2025
Date: 6th of Febuary, 2025
Why You Might Prefer Silent Study Spots
There are various reasons why students and workers usually prefer a nice and quiet place to study and focus. Some use Pomodoro or deep work strategies which they can efficiently apply in distraction-free environments. Highly sensitive people (HSPs) and introverts tend to favor places with few people or quiet, calm places overstimulated loud places. It could also be due to personal or religious beliefs (Muslim here) that encourage you to avoid places with music. Some tasks also require deep focus and understanding like writing a research paper or problem-solving related tasks.
Distraction-Free Study Spots You’ll Love
There are so many amazing options to choose from and each one has its pros and cons, which we will cover. Whether you like to focus in complete silence or with a little bit of noise, I got you! Let’s dive in, shall we? Here are some great options that you can try, to become more motivated and productive for school/university/work:

Pros
- Open 24/7
- Affordable, 3.25 JD entry fee, lasts 24 hours.
- Unlimited free hot drinks from the coffee machine (eg. coffee, hot chocolate, etc.), and tea bags.
- Self-service.
- More than one branch– Mecca Street, Queen Rania Street, Rainbow Street, and Irbid branch – Rainbow Street branch has the highest ratings and is considered the best branch in Amman to many.
- Bathroom available
- Usually three areas, a silent area, and a group area, in addition to meeting rooms (higher fee, and reservation required sometimes), where you can talk freely in a louder voice or give conferences/tutor lessons.
- Power outlets to insert your charger are available everywhere.
- Have subscriptions.
- Prayer room available in Mecca Street branch (call another branch to make sure it’s available there).
Cons
- If you’re there for the aesthetic, it’s not the best place for you. (especially the Mecca Street branch-not very modern looking)
- The coffee machine doesn’t always work or has limited drinks available. (Ask the staff for help, they’re usually nice and ready to help)
- Some may consider it to be too silent (especially the silent area), which might make you anxious when making any noise/sound.

Overall Rating: 8.5/10

Pros
- Very large space, so you will most likely find a nice spot easily.
- Electric outlets everywhere.
- Because it is so spacious, I would say it’s easy to find a place to pray.
- Beautiful, quiet environment with nice energy and no music/very low sounds.
- Membership for access to the silent area (although every place is pretty silent) is 5 JD, paid once only, and lasts a lifetime.

- Honestly, a good place if you need to focus and also sometimes be able to talk quietly if you’re with a friend, and if you’re not in the silent area, as it’s quiet but not completely.
Cons
- Only has one branch.
- Not ideal to drink or eat inside, so you can go out for some fresh air when eating, just in case.
