Authentically Human, Because Robots Can't Slay
Date: 8th of September, 2025
Introduction
AI can write this blog in 30 seconds, but here’s why I choose to write for 3 hours instead…
The Allure of AI
I get it, I do it too. Immediately asking ChatGPT instead of taking a bit of time to Google through people’s articles? Yes. [The Art of Silence: How Embracing Boredom Can Improve Your Life] I do not say that proudly, but my attention span is hanging on by a thread sometimes. However, I’ve decided to take a step back and reflect on what’s happening, because it’s not good. Of course, I’m not saying AI is not good because, like any other tool, it has its advantages and disadvantages. The key is how you choose to use it, but why have I decided to ditch it completely when it comes to writing or even polishing my paragraphs? Because it can’t slay, just kidding (not really). Because this blog is about trust, human-to-human connection, and human experiences. A recent study called “The Value, Benefits, and Concerns of Generative AI-Powered Assistance in Writing” shows exactly that: while many writers welcome AI’s help, they worry about losing their unique voice and sense of ownership.
Words With Heart
I don’t even have to make that distinction between humans and AI, talking about how we have bones and they don’t, because we all know this. AI does have a “brain” of its own, if you want to call it that, but after all, we humans made it, so it will come with its flaws. Most importantly, we are a creation of the one and only God, [Dream Bold, Act with Niyyah: Your Breakthrough Starts from Within] and He is the best creator. Many things about us we are still figuring out and trying to understand to this day; that is how fascinating the human body is. How can I take that gift and not use it? It feels very wrong to basically ditch my brain and capabilities and ask a robot to “think” for me, especially when it comes to something as personal as a literal “Personal Blog”.
The Irreplaceable Human Touch
One of the things that makes us so great as humans is how different each and every one of us is. Not even identical twins are truly identical. God has created us in such a way that each person plays a role in this world, even if we don’t realize what that is sometimes, because feeling lost is also part of being human. Each person’s laugh, handwriting, way of expression, or just tone of voice is different. No one’s brain is identical to the other and that is what creates that irreplaceable human touch that we have on the world. Even if we sometimes feel useless in this world, especially with things like AI where it can feel like we’re being replaced sometimes, that is simply impossible [The Growth Mindset Advantage: Thriving in University and Beyond]. You have a purpose in this world, because everything that happens has God’s wisdom behind it, which we don’t have to fully understand all the time. Trust in God is more than enough to lead you through life. That trust and connection is part of what makes us feel alive, something that AI can never have.
Creative Mind's
As I’ve mentioned, we will never truly understand everything about the human body, but what I do know is that human imagination is tied to faith, personal growth, culture, and so much more. The circumstances in which we grew up differ, and these circumstances create stories, art, and reflections that come from real-life struggles. This is irreplaceable by itself. Look at oppressed people like the people of Gaza or Sudan, for example, although they are going through the worst conditions imaginable, they find a creative way to survive and find joy as much as they can. That is the admirable trait of instincts, specifically survival instincts in this case, which keep reminding us that our body and soul always look for reasons to stay alive and well. Part of that instinct is also feeling empathy for our brothers and sisters all over the world and wishing them well, so don’t forget your instincts today and pray for the oppressed whenever you can. Remember to stay human, even when the world tries to change you into something else.
The Danger of Forgetting Oneself
We are so unique and special in different ways. When we forget that, we lose our unique voices and start looking and thinking the same. Being authentically yourself is so important, especially in today’s world, where with social’s and AI, you feel like there’s something wrong with you, [Life as a Dental Student in Jordan 2025: What I Wish I Knew Before Starting] even if you don’t realize it at first. Of course, we all have things we’d like to change about ourselves, whether that’s from the inside or outside, but this also differs from person to person. So, when I say be authentically yourself, I don’t mean always embracing the thing you want to change; it means it’s okay to grow and become the best version of yourself, not someone else’s. I’m not saying be the same person forever, I mean it’s okay to change if it makes you better, more authentic, and sincere.
Conclusion
That is why robots can’t slay, but humans can. Work, university, school, and people can sometimes make us forget that we are human too [Navigating Campus Life in Jordan: Tips for New Students]. That we have our own trials and difficulties. At least don’t forget yourself, even if everyone will. God is always with you, so don’t forget to appreciate it and do whatever you can to show him because that’s why we are here. That is the mission. Thanks for reading.
