Why I Love Blogging in Jordan

Last Updated: 7th of September, 2025

Introduction

Okay, so originally, I wanted to call this “Why I Love Being a Blogger in Jordan,” but I consider myself more of a “creative writer,” per se. Let’s get right into it. Honestly, I was that random teenager trying to make money online and thought to myself okay, let me Google this (AI was not a thing at first). When I think about it now, I was probably like 16 and instead of studying, I was doing that (good thing I did). I also really wanted something where I don’t have to show my face, which I know, narrowed down my options by like a million times. Then stumbled upon people posting about their blogging experiences and thought okay, let’s try this next I guess [Because Robots Can’t Slay]. Eventually though, I actually started really, really liking it. I didn’t even know I liked creative writing until I did it a couple of times, and that’s how it all began.

The Context : Blogging in Jordan

Blogging is not as common as other social media content, especially in Jordan. After everyone here started using AI for literally everything, many stopped searching on the web for answers [The Art of Silence: How Embracing Boredom Can Improve Your Life]. This is why I love my blog as well, because it’s a quieter, personal, human corner of the internet. I’m still trying to figure out a lot of things about setting up the website and everything, but listen, I’ve tried to use the AI tools I have to generate a post once, and it’s really not the same. With the amount of exposure we have to AI now, I think we can all tell if something is written by a human or AI.

It's Fun

I love the thought of people reading my blogs, that I, a person, typed. It makes me feel that person-to-person connection. Guess what my favorite part is? If you guessed it right, I’m actually impressed. When I’m writing a blog post, I mostly don’t have images to add to my post, so I search for a perfect one on stock image websites that fits the vibe and add it. I love that part. It’s like wearing the most elegant dress and then adding the necklace at the end; it completes the look. I realized that I liked blogging when I was out not too long ago with a friend of mine, and while we were out, I saw something and thought, “Oh my gosh, this would be a fun topic to write about.” Another thing is, I’ve got categories of different blogs, but my favorite one right now is the book recommendations one [My Book Review of “Mindset: The New Psychology of Success]. I LOVE writing book reviews when I finish eading a book, especially psychological themes.

Challenges

You’re probably asking yourself about how many people actually read blogs now. This can be a challenge for bloggers if their goal is to make money eventually, because it’s difficult to be discovered and to boost your SEO (search engine optimization). Sometimes it can feel like you’re literally shouting at a room and the only thing you hear is your own echo. Other times, you write a blog and think it’s the best one, but people end up not liking it or reading another one more. At some point, you just have to go with the flow and write whatever you feel will help others or provide some sort of service. You never know which post will change everything.

Why It's Worth It

If you’re in it for the money and you have like ten years to spare, stick around, but if you’re in it for the money and you need that money now… I hate to break it to you, but see you on the next post, haha. Nowadays, people suppress so much emotion in them, and this manifests into an unhealthy amount of anger, sadness, and more. You know when you find something out about the world and you really want to share it, blogging is great as an outlet. Writing is like journaling in a way, because it’s a form of expression [Dream Bold, Act with Niyyah: Your Breakthrough Starts from Within]. I love writing and expressing my thoughts through words on paper or a screen. This is why it was worth it for me.

Takeaways

What I took away from this is that I’m really grateful that I tried blogging because it’s great. On a deeper note, everything that happens happens for a reason. It might be something you don’t like, but it’s good for you, and it might be something you like, but it’s bad for you. All you can do is trust God’s plan because He is the best planner, and don’t block the blessings that God sends to you. If you want to try something and you think it will please God, go for it!
